Forklift Operator

Position Overview:

As a Warehouse Reach Truck (Forklift) Operator your responsibilities include but are not limited to utilizing a reach truck to move, lift, stack and retrieve product within the warehouse. You will be responsible for moving product from the dock, pulling from reserve slots and filling pallet slots.

Responsibilities:

Transporting products from receiving dock or reserve slots to appropriate location within the warehouseMaintaining proper replenishments in the computer system that utilizes a hand held scanning deviceMoving pallets of products to designated bay location(s) based on assigned transactionMaintaining accurate records of quantities, pack sizes and descriptions by performing regular counts and ensuring proper labelingAchieving and maintaining established productivity standards based on company standardsCompleting pre-shift and post shift inspection of equipment following company guidelines, reporting any mechanical issues to facilities maintenanceAccurately reading pallet tags at minimum of 40ft highRemoving wrapping from pallets when filling slotsAssist in cleaning and maintaining a safe working environment in the warehouseFlexibility to work various or additional shifts, as needed including evenings, weekends, and holidaysFlexibility to work in various environments based on business needsPerform other duties as assigned by leadership

Schedule:

Sunday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 7 AM Start-CompletionSaturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, 7 AM Start- Completion (Perishable)Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday 9 AM Start- Completion (Grocery)

Rate:

$18.50/hour

Experience:

Preferred: One (1) year distribution, warehouse or relevant experiencePreferred: Reach truck experience (Stand up forklifts; Reach Trucks etc)Preferred: Proficiency in English (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with associates and leadership

Skills:

Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies to all associates; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shiftPhysical abilities: May be required to lift up to 80-85lbs.; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head; Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature controlled environments; the ability to operate required material handling equipment - getting on and off equipment throughout shiftStrong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basisOrganizational Skills: Ability to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlinesWorking in a team based environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers are receiving orders timely and with the highest qualityQuality: Maintain integrity and high standards of product handling from all perspectives
