Forklift Operator

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the Industrial department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Material Handler

Location: Clare, MI

Pay Range: $17

Shift: 6 am to 4 pm, Monday through Thursday
*Friday is scheduled for overtime, when needed

What's the Job?

• Safely operate forklift or hoist to load or move materials and products
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Manage inventory cleanliness and organization
• Unload steel delivery trucks and assist with loading large products onto transportation
• Ensure all parts are received and quality is verified, including measuring with tools like tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Conducts daily forklift inspection.
• Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED
• Forklift experience REQUIRED
• At least 1 year or more consecutive related experience
• Ability to read and utilize measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
• Ability to read and complete forms and paperwork accurately
• Basic computer skills for data input and retrieval
