Location: Detroit, MI 48209

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (Must be flexible to meet job demands)

Job Summary

Synergies Companies is seeking a dependable and skilled Forklift Operator to join our Shipping/Receiving team. In this role, you will provide driving assistance to various departments, ensuring your forklift is properly maintained while strictly complying with all safety regulations. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, putting away inventory, performing cycle counts, and keeping the production line supplied with necessary materials. Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Equipment Operation: Safely operate a stand-up lift and electric sit-down forklift.
• Material Handling: Unload inbound trucks and load outbound trucks. Transport finished jobs, goods, and pallets in process to their designated warehouse locations.
• Line Support: Supply the production line with required materials and confer with managers to ensure smooth coordination across production lines.
• Inventory Control: Perform cycle counts of inventory and assist with other warehouse projects as needed.
• Safety & Maintenance: Conduct basic forklift maintenance. Maintain a clean and safe work area by moving empty pallets to designated locations, and immediately notify supervisors of any mechanical or material issues.
• Teamwork: Perform other related warehouse duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: * 2+ years of experience working in a warehouse or production environment.
  • 2+ years of experience operating an electric sit-down forklift.
  • Ability to drive a stand-up lift.
• Certifications: Must be able to pass an internal forklift test within 30 days of hire.
• Skills: Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience is a plus, but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
