Forklift Operator Compensation
Pay Rate: $24.00/hour
Duration: 6 months
Location: Somerset, NJ
Schedule: Onsite, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Shift: Mid-Shift Replenisher
Additional Openings: 2 First Shift, 2 Second Shift, 2 Mid-Shift
Physical Fit Test: Required
Forklift Operator Highlights
Opportunity to support daily manufacturing operations in a material handling/replenishment role.
Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move raw materials throughout the facility.
Work in a manufacturing environment handling drums, totes, pallets, and chemicals.
2+ years of forklift and warehouse experience required.
SAP and RFT experience preferred.
Must be able to lift/handle materials weighing up to 60 lbs.
Job Responsibilities
Forklift Operator Responsibilities
- Move and stage full drums, totes, and pallet loads of materials for production.
- Remove empty drums and totes from production areas and place them in designated recycling areas.
- Maintain high-use raw material stations and ensure appropriate inventory levels.
- Retrieve and stage raw materials using the inventory management system.
- Maintain proper inventory levels in bulk storage tanks and refill as needed.
- Use RFK scanners to track and manage materials.
- Maintain inventory levels in totes/day tanks and transport materials to designated areas.
- Operate forklifts, hand trucks, drum lifts, elevators, and other material-handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures.
- Follow proper procedures when working around chemicals and powered industrial vehicles.

Qualifications
Forklift Operator Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2–3 years of manufacturing or industrial experience.
- Minimum 2 years of forklift and warehouse experience.
- Stand-up and sit-down forklift experience required.
- Working knowledge of inventory control systems.
- Ability to safely handle heavy materials, including drums weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to follow safety procedures in a manufacturing/chemical environment.
- SAP and RFT experience preferred.
- Must successfully complete the required Physical Fit Test.
