Position: Forklift Operator (Freezer)
Location: Brockport, NY

Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking experienced and safety-focused Forklift Operators to support manufacturing operations in Brockport, NY. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers the chance to transition into a permanent position based on performance and business needs. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely transporting materials, supplying production lines, and supporting warehouse operations within a food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, strong attention to safety, and the ability to work independently while supporting production goals.

Pay Rate:

• $20.21 - $22.21/Hour (Based On Experience)
  • $1.00/Hour Shift Differential for 2nd Shift
  • $2.00/Hour Shift Differential for 3rd Shift

Shift(s):

• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Duties:

• Safely operate electrically powered sit-down forklifts throughout the facility
• Transport raw materials, packaging materials, and production supplies to designated areas
• Supply production lines with required materials to maintain daily schedules
• Load, unload, and stage materials as needed
• Move inventory throughout warehouse and production areas
• Utilize RF scanners to track inventory movements and complete transactions accurately
• Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records
• Support warehouse and production teams with material handling needs
• Follow all food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or inventory discrepancies to leadership

Requirements:

• Previous forklift operating experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required
• Sit-down forklift experience preferred
• Experience using RF scanners and inventory systems preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Reliable transportation required
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Ability to work in a food manufacturing environment with changing temperatures
• Comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer areas for portions of the shift
• Frequent forklift operation and material handling throughout the workday
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive movements
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to production equipment, noise, and industrial conditions
• Must wear required PPE and follow all food safety and workplace safety requirements
• Overtime opportunities may be available during peak production periods
