Forklift Operator

Connect Staffing is hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for a warehouse in Houston, TX. In this role, you will operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload trucks and trailers, move and stack pallets, and inspect incoming and outgoing cargo. Full-time hours are available with an immediate start.

Pay:$15.00-$18.00/hr (depending on experience)

Schedule: Full-time; schedule may vary

Location: Houston, TX

Job Type: Temporary (approx. 1 month)

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift to move, stack, and organize pallets and materials throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers safely and efficiently.
• Inspect cargo for damage before and after handling and report any issues.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Assist with general warehouse or yard duties as directed by supervisors.

• 2+ year of forklift operating experience.
• Must have experience handling and moving IBC containers and industrial drums in a warehouse or industrial environment.
• Experience loading ocean containers.

• Experience in a logistics, distribution, or cargo handling environment.
• Familiarity with pallet jack and other warehouse material handling equipment.
• Experience reading and verifying shipping documents or load manifests.
• Ability to work varying shifts as project needs change.
• Forklift certification or documented safety training.
• Ability to safely operate a sit-down forklift in a warehouse environment.

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work at a fast pace throughout the full shift.
• Steel toe boots required (employee-provided).
