Forklift Operator I

Job Summary
Our client, a leading fresh food distribution company located in Kahului, HI, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their production team. This role involves operating forklifts to stack and retrieve supplies and materials, maintaining accurate inventory documentation, and ensuring the production area remains organized and clean. This is a full-time, onsite position with no travel required.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including rider pallet jack and standup forklift, to move and store supplies and materials
- Document and maintain inventory records accurately
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the production area
- Follow established guidelines and procedures for daily operations
- Work under immediate supervision, reporting to a manager or department head

Required Qualifications
- 0-3 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience with rider pallet jack and standup forklift operation
- Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within warehouse/production environments
- Ability to follow pre-established guidelines and instructions

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a fresh food, warehouse, or distribution environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production setting

About the Role
This is a full-time contract position based onsite in Kahului, HI, with an estimated duration of approximately 1,080 total hours (40 hours per week, 8 hours per day). The schedule includes Sunday 12:00pm-8:30pm and Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:30pm, with Saturdays off and one additional rotating day off during the week. No travel is required for this position. Interviews will be conducted in person. Compensation is competitive and will be discussed during the interview process.
