Overview
This senior-level operational role involves operating high-capacity equipment and terminal yard trucks to ensure the safe and efficient movement of heavy lift and over-dimensional cargo in marine and yard environments. The position requires expert proficiency, extensive experience, and strict safety compliance when handling large equipment such as forklifts (55,000 lbs+), excavators, bulldozers, and ship loaders.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience operating high-capacity equipment or driving related vehicles
- Valid driver's license and TWIC card
- Fluent in English with strong data processing skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to operate independently in fast-paced settings
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Subject to DOT and physical screenings
- Exposure to outdoor elements and mechanical hazards
- Frequent driving, grasping, reaching, and coordination tasks
- Occasional lifting up to 55 pounds and physical movements like standing, bending, and climbing
