Forklift Driver – Receiving & Shipping

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team. This position is responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, load, unload, and organize products throughout the warehouse and shipping/receiving areas.

The position involves working in a cold warehouse environment for approximately 8–10 hour shifts. The ideal candidate must be physically fit, safety-conscious, dependable, and comfortable operating a forklift for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to move and organize products throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Assist with receiving incoming products and materials.
• Prepare and organize products for shipment.
• Move pallets and products to designated storage areas.
• Verify products and quantities while loading and unloading.
• Maintain an organized and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and forklift operating guidelines.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report any equipment issues.
• Communicate effectively with receiving, shipping, warehouse, and production teams.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and work as part of a team.
• Maintain productivity while prioritizing safety and accuracy.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to work 8–10 hour shifts.
• Ability to work in a cold warehouse environment for extended periods.
• Must be physically fit and able to safely perform the essential duties of the position.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the warehouse during the shift.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift and maneuver around employees, pallets, trucks, and warehouse equipment.
• Ability to lift and move materials as required by the position.
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and remain alert while operating equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift or warehouse experience preferred.
• Previous experience in receiving, shipping, loading, or unloading is a plus.
• Forklift certification or willingness to complete company-required forklift training.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
