Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable and hardworking Loader for a temp-to-hire industrial opportunity in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for loading and unloading materials, moving products and equipment throughout the facility, organizing inventory, and supporting fabrication, welding, and general shop operations.
This is a physically demanding position in a fast-paced industrial environment. Candidates must be comfortable handling heavy materials, working in varying temperatures, and maintaining productivity throughout extended shifts.
The schedule begins at 9:00 AM Monday through Saturday and continues until the day's work is completed, providing significant overtime opportunities.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous industrial, construction, warehouse, or general labor experience required
Experience loading and unloading materials preferred
Ability to safely lift and move heavy materials throughout the shift
Strong attention to workplace safety
Ability to follow standard work procedures
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment
Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding work
Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers
Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Willingness to work overtime as needed
Ability to work the full MondaySaturday schedule
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Load materials, products, and equipment
Unload incoming materials and products
Move materials throughout the shop and yard
Stage materials for production activities
Organize inventory and material-storage areas
Assist with general material handling
Support fabrication operations as needed
Assist welding teams with material movement and preparation
Help maintain efficient material flow throughout the facility
Operate forklifts when trained and authorized
Assist with other industrial equipment as assigned
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Remove scrap, debris, and potential hazards
Follow standard work procedures
Follow all company safety requirements
Maintain established quality expectations
Communicate material or equipment concerns promptly
Perform additional general labor and shop projects as assigned
Loading & Unloading Responsibilities
Candidates may regularly:
Load outgoing materials
Unload incoming shipments
Position materials for safe movement
Stage products in designated areas
Move equipment and supplies
Assist with truck loading and unloading
Verify materials are placed in the correct locations
Maintain safe and organized loading areas
Strong situational awareness is important when working around heavy materials, vehicles, and industrial equipment.
Material Handling
Move materials throughout shop and yard areas
Stage components for production
Organize inventory
Assist with material placement
Support production employees with required materials
Help maintain clear and efficient material flow
Handle products carefully to prevent unnecessary damage
Fabrication & Welding Support
When needed, Loaders may assist fabrication and welding personnel with:
Material staging
Component movement
Work-area preparation
Material organization
General labor
Shop cleanup
Other production-support activities
Candidates should be comfortable working around active welding and fabrication operations.
Forklift & Equipment Operation
Candidates may operate:
Forklifts
Material-handling equipment
Other applicable industrial equipment
Employees must complete applicable training and authorization requirements before independently operating equipment.
Quality & Safety Responsibilities
Follow established loading and material-handling procedures
Maintain quality expectations for assigned work
Handle materials safely to prevent damage
Follow all job-safety standards
Maintain awareness around moving equipment and heavy materials
Keep loading and work areas free of unnecessary hazards
Report unsafe conditions immediately
Wear all required PPE

Ability to safely work around trucks, forklifts, welding operations, and industrial machinery
Ability to wear all required PPE
