The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and accurately building and loading pallets of products for delivery to enhanced customers.
- Builds pallets according to build sheets, ensuring correct placement and quantity of products.
- Uses forklifts to load pallets into trucks, verifying proper placement and truck bay alignment.
- Follows safety policies, wears PPE, and maintains warehouse cleanliness and organization.
- Communicates effectively with team members and supervisors about work status and issues.
- Completes safety checklists, paperwork, and assists in training new employees.
- Handles stock replenishment, moves trucks, and performs related duties as needed.
- Requires high school diploma or GED, 6-12 months forklift experience, and knowledge of warehouse and food distribution environments.
Additional skills include operating mechanical equipment, basic math, multitasking, and effective communication. Must obtain a forklift license and adapt to changing priorities.
