The Forklift Operatorloads and unloads tractor trailers, ensuring correct reporting of what is loaded on the trailer.
Responsibilities:
Drive forklift to load and unload tractor trailers
Maintain housekeeping & 3R5S environment
Follow Mobis handbook guidelines and other policies established by department
Read and/or enter data through computer with accuracy
Promote a team atmosphere
Assist with creation and completion of improvement and/or cost reduction ideas
Accurately Complete check sheets, reports, forms, etc. asassigned
Monitor inventory status of customer to avoid part shortage and/or downtime
Comply with all safety rules and guidance, as well as report all recognized hazards
Prompt, regular, predictable attendance
Physical presence at work during all scheduled work hours
Overtime and weekend work as required
Required to work with, handle, store, or otherwise manage hazardous materials, and must comply with all applicable regulations established by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Responsibilities include ensuring safe and compliant management of hazardous materials in accordance with state and federal regulatory requirements.
May be required to participate in training for handling of hazardous materials.

Required Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
1-3 years of experienceoperatinga Forklift
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Basic reading and computer skills
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
Forklift certification must be obtained through Mobis’ forklift licensing program
Working Conditions:
100% of work performed on production floor (standing and/or forklift)
Ability to lift 55 lbs repeatedly.
Pushing with force up to 75 pounds.
Traversing around the production floor to complete inventories and judge needed repairs
