Description
Job Title: Forklift Operator
Company: Schneider Electric (El Paso, TX) Pay Rate: $15.50 per hour Schedule: 1st Shift Employment Type: Temporary Overtime: Required (3–6 hours based on production needs)
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count materials within a manufacturing/warehouse environment. This role supports production by ensuring timely delivery of materials and maintaining inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
Load and unload materials from trucks, production lines, and storage areas
Move product to and from staging, shipping, and production areas
Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs
Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts
Follow all safety procedures and company policies at all times
Keep work areas clean and organized
Support production and warehouse teams as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

Experience & Skills:
Previous forklift operating experience required (sit-down, stand-up, or pallet jack)
Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Basic warehouse or manufacturing experience
Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 40–50 pounds as needed
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
Good hand-eye coordination and depth perception
Ability to work in non-climate controlled environments
Work Environment:
Manufacturing and warehouse setting
Required to wear steel-toe shoes and safety gear
Exposure to moderate noise levels
Fast-paced, production-driven environment
