Afternoon Shift: Monday - Thursday 3:00PM - 1:30AM 4x10 hour shifts

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator/Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and handling of materials within the warehouse environment. Your expertise in operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment will ensure safe, accurate, and timely distribution of goods. Duties

• Operate a variety of forklifts including reach trucks, lift trucks, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo equipment to load, unload, and transport materials safely within the warehouse.
• Perform order picking using barcode scanning systems and manual methods to fulfill shipping requests accurately.
• Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to safety protocols outlined by OSHA and company policies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through warehouse management systems (WMS) and conduct regular stock counts to ensure inventory integrity.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and preparing outgoing deliveries.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs on forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure optimal operation.
• Support warehouse distribution processes by organizing storage areas, managing material flow, and ensuring compliance with safety standards in production.
• Utilize manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks while following proper ergonomic practices.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions and improve overall warehouse management efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating forklifts such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, pallet jacks, or lift trucks within a warehouse setting.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management procedures.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and materials handling.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while maintaining safety standards in production environments.
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments or inventory data.
• Experience in shipping & receiving processes along with materials handling techniques.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations including order picking, load & unload procedures, and equipment repair basics.
• Prior experience in warehouse supervision or warehouse management system administration is a plus.
• Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
