Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable Forklift Operator / Loader to join a busy manufacturing team in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for loading and unloading materials, transporting inventory throughout the facility, assisting production and fabrication teams, and supporting overall shop operations.
The ideal candidate has previous industrial or warehouse experience, operates safely in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to work overtime as production demands require.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing, construction, warehouse, or general labor environment
Previous forklift experience preferred
Ability to safely lift and move heavy materials throughout the shift
Strong attention to safety and quality standards
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Load and unload materials, products, and equipment safely and efficiently
Transport materials throughout the shop and yard using forklifts and other material handling equipment when authorized
Assist with material movement to support fabrication and production operations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company work procedures and safety policies
Meet established quality and productivity standards
Perform general labor tasks, including lifting, carrying, climbing, bending, squatting, and standing for extended periods
Support fabrication and welding teams with material handling and production needs
Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers regarding daily tasks and production requirements
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Forklift certification or previous forklift operating experience
Manufacturing or fabrication shop experience
Experience working around heavy equipment and industrial machinery
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials throughout the shift
Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, squatting, and repetitive movements
Ability to work in varying temperatures in both indoor and outdoor environments
Ability to safely wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the workday
Work Environment
Industrial manufacturing and fabrication facility
Fast-paced production environment supporting fabrication and warehouse operations
Exposure to forklifts, heavy equipment, production machinery, and varying weather conditions
