The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This role plays a key part in accurate receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment using mobile devices and Oracle WMS.

Responsibilities

  • Safely unload inbound freight and verify shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Inspect incoming materials for damage and accurately document discrepancies.
  • Receive product into Oracle WMS, including unit-of-measure conversions, labeling, and inventory transactions.
  • Apply LPN and product labels and move inventory to assigned warehouse locations using mobile devices.
  • Execute replenishment tasks to support operational throughput and inventory availability.
  • Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts in accordance with company SOPs and OSHA regulations.
  • Transport materials between receiving, storage, production, and shipping locations.
  • Properly stack, store, and position pallets to maximize safety, space utilization, and inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Meet established productivity, quality, and safety performance expectations.
  • Support other inbound, inventory, and distribution functions as business needs require.
  • Maintain forklift cleanliness and perform pre-shift inspections
  • Report defective equipment or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly
  • Interact professionally with all team members and departments

Minimum Qualifications

  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.

Preferred

  • Experience with warehouse management systems and RF/mobile scanning devices.
  • Oracle WMS experience.
  • Knowledge of receiving, inventory control, and distribution operations.

  • Basic math and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and complete operational documentation accurately.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and visual awareness for safe equipment operation
