Job Summary We are seeking a dependable Side Loader Forklift Operator to join a fast-paced warehouse team. This position is responsible for operating a side loader forklift to retrieve long steel products from warehouse racks, pulling materials according to work orders, and staging completed orders for the third-shift loading crew. This role requires attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work around large, heavy materials.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operate a side loader forklift to retrieve long steel products from storage racks. Pull material according to work orders and customer specifications. Stage completed orders for the third-shift loading crew. Verify product sizes, quantities, and condition before staging. Safely handle long, heavy steel bundles while following all safety procedures. Maintain an organized work area and assist with general warehouse duties as needed. Communicate with team members to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
Qualifications Previous forklift experience required; side loader experience is a plus. Ability to safely operate equipment around long, heavy materials. Warehouse, steel, lumber, or industrial experience preferred. Ability to read work orders, product labels, and measurements accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment.
