Forklift Operator / Packaging Operator

GPS Jobs is hiring a Forklift Operator / Packaging Operator for a facility in Vance, SC.  Why You Should Apply

• Monday–Friday schedule with occasional Saturdays
• 1st shift: 6:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Monday–Thursday; 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., Friday

 What You Will Do

• Operate a forklift to move materials as needed
• Operate and monitor automated and manual bagging equipment
• Package finished products according to quality and safety standards
• Inspect bags for correct weight, seals, and labeling
• Load bags, liners, and labels into equipment
• Identify and report equipment or quality issues
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Work with the team to meet daily production goals

 What You Will Need

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Manufacturing or production experience is a plus
• Forklift experience required
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail and basic mechanical aptitude
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Willingness to work assigned shifts and occasional overtime

 The ideal candidate will have at least one year of sit-down forklift experience and be able to perform packaging duties as assigned. A drug-free workplace and a criminal background check are required. EOE
