Forklift Operator 

Job Overview

We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator to join a busy frozen warehouse operation in Piedmont, SC. This position involves operating a forklift in a cold-storage environment while picking and handling cases of frozen food products.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to move and position products throughout the warehouse
• Pick and handle cases of frozen food products, including turkeys
• Load, unload, stage, and transport product as needed
• Accurately pick orders according to production or customer requirements
• Inspect products and pallets for damage
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and operating guidelines
• Work efficiently to meet daily productivity and order fulfillment goals
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous forklift operating experience required
• Warehouse or distribution experience preferred
• Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment
• Comfortable working in a cold/frozen warehouse environment
• Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, and pull cases as required
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Work is performed in a cold-storage/frozen warehouse environment
• Ability to work in cold temperatures for extended periods
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying
• Ability to handle cases of frozen food products
• Must be able to safely perform physical warehouse duties throughout the shift

Schedule & Pay

• $18.00/hour
• 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Piedmont, SC
