We are seeking an experienced and reliable Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced warehouse team. This role supports a smaller operation that distributes fire sprinklers and safety supplies. Key Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load and unload trucks
• Perform daily shipping and receiving tasks with accuracy and efficiency
• Pick, pack, label, and verify orders to ensure they match customer requirements
• Receive incoming materials, process them in the system, and stock them in designated locations
• Maintain accurate documentation for inventory, shipping, and receiving activities
• Assist with inventory control and report discrepancies
• Build and maintain professional relationships with vendors through accurate receiving practices
• Work independently while meeting productivity and quality expectations
• Support general warehouse operations including material handling and order fulfillment
• Follow all safety procedures and equipment guidelines
• Assist team members with additional tasks as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous warehouse experience required
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes
• Forklift certification or proven experience operating forklifts (sit-down and/or stand-up)
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Willingness to assist with a variety of warehouse tasks
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Additional Preferred Skills

• Experience in material handling, order picking, and packing
• Familiarity with inventory control and stock management
• Comfort using warehouse equipment and systems
• Interest in learning the fire sprinkler industry and building a long-term career

Work Environment & Schedule

• Small warehouse setting with fewer than 10 total staff members
• Fast-paced, hands-on role requiring physical warehouse work
• Non-climate-controlled environment
• Regular use of forklifts and material handling equipment
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pompano Beach, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
