Job Title: Forklift Operator on all shifts!


Job Description


This role ensures that manufacturing departments always have the correct materials available by safely moving, staging, and tracking inventory using forklifts and scanning equipment. The position maintains accurate inventory records, supports receiving and shipping activities, and helps keep production flowing efficiently and safely.


Responsibilities


+ Move materials and supplies between receiving, manufacturing, shipping, and storage areas using a forklift in a safe and efficient manner.

+ Control the issue and receipt of materials to production by verifying work order numbers, quantities, and the status of work orders before distribution.

+ Receive incoming materials by checking quality, verifying quantities, and confirming purchase orders, then applying required labels and storing items in the proper locations.

+ Operate forklifts to load and unload steel coils and tubing, inspecting and weighing coils according to standards and preparing coil tickets with accurate information for distribution.

+ Stage materials correctly for production by clearly labeling part numbers and quantities to ensure prompt delivery between manufacturing departments.

+ Rotate materials to use older inventory first or as required by manufacturing, optimizing storage space and material flow throughout the plant.

+ Identify damaged materials and take appropriate actions, such as documenting issues and notifying the appropriate personnel.

+ Maintain good housekeeping in work areas and follow established safety procedures at all times.

+ Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions, including the Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and Safety Manual.

+ Maintain awareness of how individual work affects quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance activities, and promptly report all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel.


Essential Skills


+ Experience operating sit-down forklifts, including electric sit-down forklifts, with prior forklift licensing required.

+ Proven in inventory control, stocking, and materials handling in a production or manufacturing environment.

+ Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions accurately.

+ High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.

+ Ability to interface effectively with a diverse workforce and work cooperatively with others.

+ Capability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally during an 8-hour shift.


Shifts:


1st shift Monday- Friday 6 am -2:20 paying $20.68 an hour


2nd shift Monday- Friday 2 pm-10:20 pm paying $20.68 an hour


3rd shift Stock Keeper Sunday-Thursday 10 pm-6:20 am paying $20.68 an hour

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Red Lion, PA.


Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.68 - $20.68/hr.
