In this active plant logistics role, you will operate sit-down forklifts to transport raw fiber materials, load packaging lines, move finished goods, and stage product for distribution across a busy industrial manufacturing facility. You will work a consistent 40-hour schedule running Thursday through Sunday, allowing you to enjoy your entire mid-week off while securing a direct path to permanent rollover with full medical benefits and 401(k). Description for Forklift Driver:
- Safely and efficiently operate industrial sit-down forklifts to transport raw wood fiber, bulk materials, packaging supplies, and finished palletized goods.
- Load and unload flatbeds, dry vans, staging bays, and automated production feeding lines with zero product damage.
- Perform daily pre-operational equipment safety checks, fluid verifications, and battery/propane inspections on assigned forklifts.
- Assist floor operations with general material handling, yard organization, and product staging as directed by shift leads.
- Maintain spotless, debris-free driving aisles and work zones compliant with plant safety policies and 5S housekeeping standards.
- Coordinate closely with machine operators and warehouse leads to ensure continuous material flow without production shutdowns.
- Strictly adhere to all facility safety rules, pedestrian right-of-way protocols, and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.

- Pay Rate: $20.00 / hour starting wage.
- Schedule: Full-Time 4-Day Workweek | Thursday – Sunday (40 hours per week).
- Work-Life Balance:Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday completely OFF every single week!
- Shift Hours (10-Hour Shifts):
- Thursday & Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Location: Shelton, WA facility (convenient commute from Mason, Thurston, and Pierce Counties).
- Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire career pathway with permanent placement review upon completion of agreement hours.
Requirements for Forklift Driver:
- Forklift Operating Experience: Verifiable previous experience operating industrial sit-down forklifts safely in a fast-paced production, mill, or warehouse environment.
- Schedule Commitment: Ability to reliably commit to the Thursday through Sunday 10-hour shift schedule.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to sit, drive, mount/dismount equipment, bend, walk on concrete, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed for manual material handling.
- Safety & Focus: Sharp spatial awareness and vigilance regarding ground personnel, indoor/outdoor obstacles, and equipment clearances.
- Exceptional history of daily attendance, punctual shift arrivals, and dependable personal transportation.
