Shipping & Receiving Associates/Material Handlers to join their team in Solon, Ohio.

Position Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Associate/Material Handler plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate, safe, and efficient movement of products throughout distribution operations. This position is responsible for loading and unloading trucks, receiving inbound shipments, preparing outbound orders, moving inventory, and operating forklifts, tow motors, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
Essential Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving
- Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers safely and efficiently.
- Verify incoming shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documentation.
- Inspect incoming products and materials for damage or discrepancies.
- Prepare and stage outbound shipments according to customer and delivery requirements.
- Accurately complete shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation.
- Ensure shipments are properly labeled, wrapped, and secured for transport.
- Maintain shipping schedules and assist in meeting customer delivery expectations.
Material Handling & Forklift Operations
- Operate forklifts, tow motors, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Move finished goods, packaging materials, and inventory throughout the distribution center.
- Transport products between storage locations, staging areas, and loading docks.
- Replenish inventory and stock designated warehouse locations.
- Stack, organize, and store materials safely and efficiently.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Follow all forklift safety procedures and warehouse traffic rules.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock rotation activities.
Warehouse Operations
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately.
- Maintain organized warehouse storage areas and staging locations.
- Support inventory control efforts to ensure accurate product tracking.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
- Collaborate with supervisors, drivers, and warehouse team members to achieve productivity goals.
- Follow all company quality, food safety, and workplace safety standards.
- Perform other warehouse and distribution-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic math, reading, and comprehension skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, manufacturing, or forklift experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment.
- Ability to load and unload materials repeatedly during the workday.
