Position Summary
As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to transport, stack, and organize materials within warehouses, factories, or construction sites. This role ensures efficient material handling to support production and inventory management while maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to move materials to designated locations
- Load and unload goods from trucks and storage areas
- Stack and organize materials safely to maximize storage space
- Inspect forklifts daily to ensure proper functioning and report defects
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and material movement
- Assist in warehouse housekeeping and maintenance tasks
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbal and written (English)
- Able to read and process written communication including, but not limited to, work orders, delivery receipts, frame prints, and measurements
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision
- Able to operate a Lift Truck or Tractor as necessary
- Able to operate appropriate equipment including radios, stabilization devices, tape measures, etc.
- Able to physically lift and maneuver weight that is more than fifty pounds
- Must be highly organized
- Must possess successful problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work under physically and mentally stressful situations
- Able to deal with climate extremes (temperature, precipitation, etc.)
- Must be able to prioritize and easily adapt to changes throughout the day
Employment Type & Compensation
- This is a Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire position
- Pay rate is $17.00-$18.00 per hour
