Forklift Operator Job Details:Schedule: All shifts available
Pay Rate: $14.00-$22.00/hour.
Location: Springfield, Tn and surrounding area
Forklift Operator Requirements/Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid forklift operator certification or ability to obtain certification
- 1+ year of experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot/cold environments.
- Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and detail.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work overtime/weekends as needed.
- Indoor manufacturing environment (may include loud machinery and moving equipment).
- Standing, walking, lifting, and forklift operation for extended periods.
- Occasional exposure to dust, grease, and production materials.
About the Forklift Operator role
As a Forklift Operator, your responsibilities will include: - Experience with RF scanners or inventory control systems.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with different types of forklifts (e.g., reach trucks, pallet jacks, side loaders).
- Previous experience in metals, plastics, automotive, or general manufacturing industries
- Safely operate sit-down, stand-up, or multi-directional forklifts to move raw materials and finished products throughout the facility.
- Load and unload materials from trailers, staging areas, and production lines.
- Deliver materials to the appropriate work centers or storage locations.
- Assist with inventory management using scanners or RF systems.
- Conduct daily forklift inspections and ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
- Follow all safety protocols, PPE standards, and OSHA regulations.
- Support production and shipping teams with material handling as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Perform general warehouse or production support tasks as assigned.
