Employnet is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating powered industrial equipment to move, store, and transport products throughout the warehouse while supporting shipping, receiving, and inventory operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to maintaining a safe and organized workplace.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, cherry picker, or electric pallet jack equipment.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound freight efficiently and accurately.
- Move, stack, and store products in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Verify product quantities and inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Perform inventory movements and assist with cycle counts.
- Maintain accurate documentation using handheld RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies while operating equipment.
- Conduct daily forklift inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Keep warehouse aisles, loading docks, and work areas clean and organized.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to meet productivity and quality goals.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous forklift operating experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
- Forklift certification is preferred or the ability to become certified upon hire.
- Experience using RF scanners or warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attendance, reliability, and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Stand, walk, bend, reach, and twist for extended periods.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment throughout the shift.
