Forklift Operator (Warehouse - 1st Shift)

Location: Southwest Indianapolis
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $20.75/hour

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse operations in a light industrial environment. This role involves operating powered industrial equipment, handling materials safely, and maintaining accuracy in inventory processes.

Responsibilities
  • Operate powered industrial lift trucks and order pickers to move, stack, and organize materials
  • Use handheld scanners to track inventory with a high level of accuracy
  • Load and unload trailers as required
  • Perform inbound receiving processes
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse in accordance with 7S standards
  • Follow established safety procedures and quality policies
  • Support efficient and accurate supply chain operations
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of warehouse experience
  • Certification in operating powered industrial lift trucks
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime as needed
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally over 75 lbs
  • Handle materials of varying sizes and weights
  • Perform bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, pushing, and pulling
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Use hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment
  • Work in hot or cold warehouse conditions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
  • Good communication with supervisors and coworkers
  • High school diploma or equivalent
