Forklift Operators - Day and Swing Shift
Job Location: Ripon, California
Job Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: $24-$24.95/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7am-3:30pm (day shift) - 3pm - 11:30pm (swing shift)
Description of Position:
Do you have forklift experience working in a wine warehouse or production environment? Our client is looking for experienced Lift Truck Operators to safely move materials, supplies, and finished products throughout the warehouse, production, and shipping areas. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of forklift experience, works well in a dynamic environment, and understands the importance of safety and accuracy.
Job Responsibilities:
- 1+ year of forklift/lift truck experience in a dynamic environment
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Wine warehouse experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand safety rules, work orders, schedules, and procedures
- Basic math skills and strong attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to safely operate a powered lift truck
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work independently
- Steel toed shoes required
Description of Company:
You will be supporting a well established wine warehouse in Ripon, California.
Experience Required:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 1+ years as a Lift Operator in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read, evaluate and understand work orders/ process orders and schedules.
- Able to communicate effectively with co-workers.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in operating a lift truck.
- Experience in production atmosphere.
Physical Requirements:
- Works outdoors/indoors.
- Works in warm/cold climates.
- Works in high places.
- Works on wet surfaces.
- Is exposed to loud noise, fumes, and or/toxic chemicals.
- Works near moving mechanical parts and lift truck traffic.
- Must be able to move up to 55lbs.
- Primary environment may be warehouse/distribution setting.
