TITLE:                Host - Forklift Restaurant

LOCATION:       Snowbird Center

STATUS:            Part-time, Year-round

SCHEDULE:      Schedule varies based on business needs. The restaurant is currently open daily from 8am-3pm

SUMMARY

As a host you will facilitate exemplary dining experiences by warmly greeting and seating guests, using names when possible, and maintaining a smooth operation using a waiting list or reservation program.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Graciously great and seat guests
  • Adjust flow of guests with a waiting list
  • Call out name and party number when table becomes available 
  • Once guests are seated, gently pass out menus and state the name of their server
  • Review each table for proper presentation before guests are seated
  • Talk with guests to ensure they are satisfied with their dining experience
  • Respond to complaints and help resolve issues with appropriate team members
  • Assist bussers and/or servers when appropriate
  • Communicate with servers and managers
  • Thank guests as they exist the restaurant

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 0-6 months of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.
  • Must be 18+
  • Food Handler Permit.
  • Demonstrate competency in operating dish machines and chemicals
  • Requires some exercise of judgement within policy guidelines and without supervisory approval. 
  • Requires problem solving and initiation of activities within job description and have a strong understanding of other Snowbird operations.

SCHEDULE

  • Part-time; morning and daytime shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be prepared to stay overnight, if necessary, on occasional times of road closures

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Travel to Snowbird Resort
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
