Job Title: Forklift Operator
Contract Location: East St. Louis, IL
Shift: Monday-Friday 2pm-10:30pm
Compensation: $24.89/hr
Responsibilities of the Forklift Operator :
- Process customer orders with sit-down, stand-up forklift and tandem pallet jack.
- Pick and stage products in inventory based on product and prevents damage to products.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Maintain warehouse housekeeping.
- Maintain a safe work environment, following company policy and procedures.
Requirements for Forklift Operator:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to work in a freezer environment
- Must be able to meet client’s background and drug testing requirements.
- Good Communication skills (written and verbal)
- Must be able to obtain forklift certification and operate forklift in a safe, efficient matter.
- Must be able to work in a climate-controlled environment: Freezer areas are zero degrees or colder, with wind chills of -10 degrees. The dock is maintained at approximately 34 degrees.
