About the Role:

The Service Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of forklift equipment and related systems within various operational environments. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining forklift structural parts, electrical systems, to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. The technician will conduct thorough inspections and planned maintenance to identify potential issues before they escalate, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Effective communication through routine reports and correspondence is essential to document service activities and inform management of equipment status. Ultimately, the Service Technician contributes to a safe, efficient, and reliable workplace by applying technical expertise and problem-solving skills to maintain essential machinery.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in forklift maintenance, operation, and safety procedures.
• Strong knowledge of forklift structural parts and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to operate power tools and perform general maintenance tasks.
• Valid forklift operator certification and adherence to OSHA safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience writing detailed maintenance reports and correspondence.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and scheduling software.
• Previous experience working in an industrial or warehouse environment.
• Additional certifications related to equipment repair or safety compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed inspections and maintenance of forklift structural parts and mechanical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to reduce equipment failures and extend the lifespan of forklifts and related machinery.
• Operate forklifts safely and in accordance with established safety protocols during testing and service procedures.
• Prepare and submit routine reports and correspondence documenting maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status.
• Utilize power tools and specialized equipment to perform general maintenance and repairs on forklifts and associated systems.
• Collaborate with team members and management to prioritize service requests and optimize maintenance schedules.
