Forklift Service Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Forklift Service Tech to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of Material handling equipment, including electric, LP gas, diesel, and gasoline-powered forklifts. Your expertise will ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of industrial machinery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and diverse machinery while contributing to the smooth functioning of our operations. Technicians work both in our shop and at customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic issues on forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Preform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections.
• Repair engines, transmissions, breaks, steering systems, hydraulics, and mast components.
• Troubleshoot and repair electric forklift systems, including motors, controllers, chargers, and batteries. Utilize electronic diagnostic tools in troubleshooting process as needed.
• Complete work orders accurately using electronic or paper service reports.
• Maintain company service vehicle, tools, and equipment.
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures at all times.
• Respond to customer service calls in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist with shop repairs and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience repairing forklifts, heavy equipment, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or diesel equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with electric forklifts is highly preferred.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and service manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.

Schedule: Day Shifts, Occasional overtime as needed.
