Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to safely and efficiently operate heavy-duty forklifts, including both single-wide and double-wide lift equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience handling large, heavy, and oversized materials in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and productivity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy-duty forklifts, including single-wide and double-wide lift equipment.
- Load, unload, move, stack, and stage materials and products safely and efficiently.
- Transport oversized, heavy, or specialized loads throughout the facility.
- Perform pre-shift inspections and routine equipment checks to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain accurate inventory movement and material handling records as required.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and operating procedures.
- Assist with warehouse organization, shipping, receiving, and general material handling duties.
- Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, or safety concerns promptly.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating heavy-duty forklifts required.
- Must be able to operate both single-wide and double-wide lift equipment safely and proficiently.
- Valid forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and material handling practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
