Forklift Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the maintenance and repairs to Menard owned equipment. The hours are 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Pay rate between $26.55/hr - $29.55/hr (with related experience) 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Perform mechanical repairs to all types of forklifts (electric, LP and diesel), order selectors, floor sweepers and scrubbers.

·         Diagnose equipment problems.

·         Troubleshoot mechanical issues.

·         Perform accurate and timely equipment repairs including preventative maintenance.

·         Look for additional repairs beyond what’s listed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

·         Have 3-5 years of direct mechanical experience or an accredited technician degree

·         Provide their own tools

·         Must be reliable, detail oriented, and able to multitask

·         Parts knowledge

·         Must be able to take direction from management

·         Must be able to work independently

·         Able to lift 40lbs. occasionally
