As Formulation Production Manager in Chicago Heights, IL you will lead formulation production teams across all shifts at our Chicago Heights site. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering the site's production schedule while developing and mentoring formulation supervisors and production teams. This role plays a key part in driving a strong safety culture, operational discipline and continuous improvement.

How You'll Help Us Grow

  • Lead formulation production teams with a strong zero‑incident safety mindset, ensuring compliance with HSE, quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver production schedules shift‑to‑shift and day‑to‑day, meeting manufacturing and customer requirements.
  • Drive process efficiency, productivity improvements and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through lean, 5S+1 and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting and visual management, including SOPs, performance metrics and manufacturing excellence data.
  • Develop, coach and performance‑manage formulation supervisors and teams, supporting long‑term capability building and succession planning.
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders including Operations, Quality, HSE, Maintenance, Planning and HR.

Could This Be You?

Mandatory requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Business or a related technical discipline.
  • 7+ years' experience in a manufacturing or engineering leadership role.
  • Strong change management, people leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and/or 5S+1 tools.
  • Strong focus on data, process discipline and KPI‑driven performance.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the agrochemical industry and familiarity with CropLife, FIFRA or product integrity requirements.
  • Exposure to root cause analysis (RCA), process safety management (PSM) or production systems environments.

What We Offer

Our compensation structure is designed to reflect the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The base salary range for this position is $95,200 to $121,300 per year.

Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.

At Nufarm, we believe in total compensation. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for additional forms of compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, financial, and other wellbeing benefits.
