The Formulation Scientist, Tech Oops will play a key supporting role in providing technical support to compliance of core products, enhancing quality and manufacturing productivity. Reporting to Director of Scientific Operations, this position will assist in quality performance evaluation of core, root cause analysis of products, raw material review, and the scale-up process of two-piece capsule and powder formulation of dietary supplements, ensuring high-quality standards and regulatory requirements for in-house and externally manufactured formulations. This on site role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support R&D tech Ops projects, compliance, and operational excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES


· Conduct comprehensive analytical, manufacturing, and raw material data reviews to ensure product quality, compliance, efficacy, consistency, and commercial production readiness across internal and external manufacturing operations. 
· Optimize and troubleshoot formulations using analytical insights, root cause analysis, and performance data to strengthen product efficacy and improve consumer experience. Deliver practical and scalable solutions that support operational objectives and business priorities. 
· Identify and resolve technical challenges related to two-piece capsule and powder formulations, manufacturing processes, and product performance to deliver robust, scalable solutions. 
· Perform ingredient research and raw material evaluations focused on efficacy, compliance, manufacturability, scalability, and supply continuity; collaborate closely with procurement, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to qualify alternative raw material sources, and expand supplier networks. 
· Ensure formulations comply with regulatory, labeling, and quality standards, working with QA/QC and Regulatory Affairs leads. 
· Lead and support Tech Ops and cross-functional R&D initiatives by driving project execution, prioritization, and successful delivery against timelines and business objectives.


WHAT YOU NEED


· Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field. 
· A minimum of 5 years of experience in dietary supplement industry, including formulations containing vitamins, minerals, botanicals, amino acids, and specialty ingredients, with strong understanding of ingredient functionality, compatibility, stability, and regulatory considerations. 
· Experience with analytical and physical characterization techniques for dietary supplements, raw materials, and finished formulations, including evaluation of flowability, particle size distribution, bulk and tapped density, compressibility, moisture content, blend uniformity, and other critical material attributes supporting formulation performance and manufacturing efficiency. 
· Familiarity with GMP standards and regulatory requirements for dietary supplements is a plus. 
· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. 
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management tools and powder characterization tools for raw material and formulations.
