About the Organization Forsyth Country Club is a 100+ year old member owned Club located in Winston-Salem, NC. The Club is nestled on 172 acres of pristine rolling hills. Facilities include:
- 45,000 sq. ft. clubhouse includes recently remodeled casual dining and bar area; seating 200 inside with seasonal patio seating 150
- Multiple banquet rooms renovated in 2022, including a ballroom that seats up to 330 people
- Men's and ladies' locker rooms
- 18-hole Donald Ross golf course
- 11 outdoor tennis courts
- 2 outdoor platform tennis courts
- 4 permanent pickleball courts
- 18,000 sq.ft. Pool and Fitness Pavilion including state of the art health and wellness center, pool kitchen area, locker room facilities, and laundry and clubhouse maintenance

Position Summary
The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to members and guests in a professional, polished, and hospitable manner. This role requires strong knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, an understanding of craft cocktails, and the ability to execute consistent, high-quality service in a country club environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with club standards, recipes, and presentation guidelines.
- Demonstrate knowledge of beer styles, wine basics, and liquor categories to confidently answer member questions and make recommendations.
- Execute classic and craft cocktails accurately, consistently, and efficiently.
- Maintain a basic working knowledge of wine, including varietals, regions, and appropriate glassware.
- Provide attentive, courteous, and personalized service while building rapport with members and guests.
- Stock, prep, and organize the bar prior to each shift, ensuring all supplies, garnishes, and glassware are ready for service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area throughout service and during closing procedures.
- Accurately process orders, tabs, and payments following club policies.
- Follow all responsible alcohol service guidelines and comply with local and state regulations.
- Collaborate with management and service staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous bartending experience preferred, ideally in a country club, hotel, or upscale dining environment.
- Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, with an understanding of craft cocktails and classic drink preparation.
- Basic understanding of wine and wine service.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced service environment.
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to standard bar delivery weights.

Pay
- Starting at $16 an hour plus commission
