Position Overview:

International is undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to becoming a provider of complete and sustainable transport solutions. As part of this journey, we are investing heavily in digital capabilities, data products, and AI-enabled tools.

MyInternational – Dealer is a key component of this ecosystem, enabling our dealers and service teams with smarter, more proactive, and more efficient workflows.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Forward Deployed Engineer/Product Owner – AI & Service Workflow Intelligence. This role sits at the intersection of Product, UX, and hands-on AI development, and is responsible for shaping how AI-powered service leads, recommendations, and workflow guidance are generated, prioritized, and experienced within the My International Ecosystem.

The goal is to help Service Advisors and dealer teams operate more proactively, make better decisions, and reduce manual effort through practical, usable AI solutions.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work within a cross-functional agile team as part of the Dealer Digitalization organization. You will collaborate closely with users, designers, engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to identify high-value opportunities and turn them into real, production-ready capabilities.

This is a hybrid “builder” role: you will help define what to build, shape how it should work from a user and workflow perspective, and actively contribute to building solutions—particularly within the Palantir Foundry platform.

We are looking for someone with a strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and a mindset of “we may not have done this before—let’s figure it out and learn quickly.”

Responsibilities:
  • Help define the product vision, roadmap, and delivery plan for AI-driven capabilities by identifying key problems, decisions to improve, required data, and expected business outcomes.
  • Take a hands-on role in building and iterating solutions within the Palantir Foundry platform, turning ideas into working prototypes and production capabilities.
  • Understand dealer workflows, service processes, and operational priorities to identify and prioritize AI opportunities that deliver meaningful value.
  • Design how AI insights, recommendations, and workflow guidance are surfaced, explained, and acted upon within user workflows.
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, UX, and data science teams to translate models and insights into usable, scalable product experiences.
  • Ensure AI capabilities are practical, trusted, and responsibly deployed through appropriate guardrails, transparency, and human-in-the-loop design.
  • Drive delivery from concept through pilot and production, including MVP definition, success metrics, adoption tracking, and continuous iteration.
  • Prioritize work based on business impact, user value, feasibility, and speed to learning, with a bias toward experimentation and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across business, UX, design, engineering, and data teams to ensure solutions are aligned, usable, and adopted.
  • Help define and shape the underlying data and technical foundations required to support AI-driven workflows, including integrations and data quality.
  • Translate strategy into execution-ready work (epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria) while maintaining a strong focus on outcomes over process.
  • Actively support delivery by clarifying requirements, making trade-offs, and unblocking progress across stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a team culture that values curiosity, collaboration, pragmatism, and continuous learning.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of technical project/program management experience

OR

  • Master's degree and at least 1 year of technical project/program management experience

OR

  • At least 5 years of technical project/program management experience
Additional Requirements:
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
Desired Skills:
  • Experience in roles such as Product Manager, Product Owner, Tech Lead, Forward Deployed Engineer, or similar hybrid roles delivering digital products in complex, workflow-driven environments.
  • Proven experience delivering data-driven or AI-enabled solutions, with a focus on real-world adoption, iteration, and measurable business impact.
  • A hands-on mindset, with the ability and willingness to work directly in platforms like Palantir Foundry (or similar) to build, test, and refine solutions.
  • Strong product thinking, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, define direction, and drive execution while staying close to delivery details.
  • Ability to understand user workflows and pain points, and translate them into intuitive, effective product and UX solutions.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with UX, engineering, architecture, and data science teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Solid understanding of operational processes and how digital and AI capabilities can improve decision-making and efficiency.
  • Comfort with modern product practices, including MVP definition, experimentation, metrics, feedback loops, and iterative delivery.
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, data dependencies, and the practical challenges of deploying AI into real business workflows.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align teams, surface trade-offs, and maintain focus on outcomes.
  • A proactive, curious, and solution-oriented mindset, with a bias toward action and a willingness to explore new approaches when clear answers do not yet exist.
