    A fast-growing AI fintech startup is assembling a small, highly selective team of finance professionals to help leading investment firms put artificial intelligence at the center of how they research, manage risk, and make decisions. The company deploys its platform directly inside each client's own cloud, so all work happens within the client's data, systems, and governance rather than in a generic sandbox. As a Forward Deployed Research Analyst, you will work on-site with portfolio managers and research teams, learn how they operate day to day, and design production-ready AI workflows that change how they generate insight. You will also turn what you observe in the field into new skills, agents, and data connectors, partnering closely with engineering so the platform reflects how investors actually think. Along the way, you will help build a shared library of playbooks covering research, risk, operations, and data science, and deliver structured feedback that shapes the product roadmap. The role offers a competitive salary, a performance bonus, and equity participation.
    Qualifications
    • Three to seven years in a core equity research function, such as fundamental research, quantitative research, or data science, at a top-tier hedge fund, asset manager, sell-side firm, or institutional investor
    • Daily, hands-on use of AI tools in your own work, supported by multiple AI build projects such as a GitHub repository of research skills or other practical applications
    • Working experience with financial data platforms like Bloomberg, FactSet, CapIQ, Visible Alpha, or PitchBook, with SQL, Python, data APIs, MCP connectors, or agentic AI frameworks a strong plus
    • The ability to build trust quickly and lead unstructured conversations with senior investors and C-suite executives, with client-facing or multi-discipline investment experience preferred
    • U.S. work authorization, with the company open to visa transfers such as OPT and H-1B transfers but unable to sponsor new H-1B petitions
