Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Forward Engineer – AI, Cloud & Orchestration to help enterprise organizations design, build, and deploy next-generation solutions leveraging artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, automation, and intelligent orchestration.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex business challenges, developing cutting-edge technology, and bringing innovative solutions from concept to production.
Unlike traditional architecture or consulting positions, this role combines deep technical engineering expertise with direct customer engagement. You'll work closely with business leaders, technical stakeholders, and engineering teams to understand challenges, design solutions, write code, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
The ideal candidate is a technically versatile problem-solver with strong experience in Generative AI, Microsoft Azure, software development, enterprise integrations, and workflow automation.
What You'll Be Doing
AI Engineering & Intelligent Automation
Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade AI applications, intelligent agents, copilots, and automated workflows.
Build solutions using leading LLM platforms, including OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and Microsoft Azure AI.
Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions and enterprise knowledge architectures.
Integrate AI capabilities into existing enterprise applications, business processes, and operational environments.
Rapidly transform business requirements into prototypes, minimum viable products (MVPs), and production-ready solutions.
Evaluate emerging AI technologies and identify practical applications that deliver measurable business value.
Enterprise Orchestration & Integration
Design and implement intelligent workflows connecting applications, APIs, enterprise data, infrastructure, AI agents, and business processes.
Automate complex processes spanning multiple systems, departments, and technologies.
Develop event-driven workflows that monitor conditions, analyze data, recommend actions, and trigger automated responses.
Integrate business rules, approval processes, governance controls, and human-in-the-loop decision-making.
Identify opportunities to eliminate manual processes, improve operational efficiency, and streamline enterprise workflows.
Cloud Architecture & Engineering
Design and implement secure, scalable cloud and hybrid-cloud solutions, primarily within Microsoft Azure.
Develop and support cloud modernization, application integration, and infrastructure automation initiatives.
Work with cloud networking, compute, storage, identity, security, containers, and data services.
Evaluate existing enterprise environments and recommend practical future-state architectures.
Apply cloud cost optimization and FinOps principles to engineering decisions.
Software Development & DevOps
Design and develop production-quality software, APIs, integrations, and automation solutions.
Write clean, scalable, maintainable code, preferably using Python and modern development frameworks.
Integrate enterprise applications using REST APIs, webhooks, event streams, and other integration technologies.
Implement CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code where appropriate.
Build reusable automation components and integration frameworks.
Observability, SRE & Operational Intelligence
Design and integrate observability solutions across cloud platforms, applications, infrastructure, and enterprise systems.
Leverage tools such as Grafana, Azure Monitor, and ServiceNow to improve operational visibility.
Correlate logs, metrics, traces, and events to identify issues and improve system performance.
Apply AI-driven analytics to anomaly detection, root-cause analysis, predictive operations, and automated remediation.
Support reliability engineering practices, including service-level indicators (SLIs), service-level objectives (SLOs), and operational readiness.
Data, Security & AI Governance
Integrate structured and unstructured enterprise data into AI and automation solutions.
Develop data pipelines and integrations that support intelligent applications.
Incorporate security, identity management, access controls, and data protection into solution designs.
Support responsible AI adoption through appropriate governance, auditability, human oversight, and compliance controls.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, solution architecture, DevOps, SRE, automation, or related technical disciplines.
Proven experience designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-scale technology solutions.
Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure and cloud architecture.
Practical experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI-powered applications.
Experience building or integrating AI agents, agentic workflows, or intelligent automation solutions.
Strong programming and software development skills, with Python strongly preferred.
Experience developing APIs and integrating complex enterprise systems.
Solid understanding of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and modern application architectures.
Experience with workflow automation and orchestration.
Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and enterprise operations.
Understanding of enterprise data integration, security, and governance.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate directly with business executives, customers, and technical teams.
Preferred Technical Experience
Experience with several of the following technologies and disciplines is highly desirable:
AI & LLMs: OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Claude Code, Azure OpenAI, AI agents, RAG, vector databases, and agentic frameworks.
Cloud & DevOps: Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, AWS, Kubernetes, containers, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD.
Automation & Integration: Python, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, workflow orchestration, and enterprise integration platforms.
Observability & Operations: Grafana, Azure Monitor, ServiceNow, SRE, automated remediation, and FinOps.
Enterprise Platforms: Microsoft 365, Copilot, enterprise data platforms, and business process automation.
Experience supporting healthcare, financial services, or other highly regulated enterprise environments is a plus.
Beyond the Technical Skills
We're looking for someone who can do more than design an impressive architecture.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
Engage directly with business and IT leaders to understand complex operational challenges.
Translate business needs into practical, scalable technical solutions.
Move seamlessly between strategic discussions, solution design, and hands-on development.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to nontechnical stakeholders.
Collaborate across software engineering, infrastructure, security, data, and business teams.
Take ownership of solutions from initial discovery through implementation and production.
Thrive in environments where requirements evolve and creative problem-solving is essential.
Balance innovation with security, reliability, cost, and measurable business value.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for a builder, not just an architect.
You might spend the morning collaborating with enterprise leaders to understand a business challenge, the afternoon designing an AI-enabled solution, and the following days writing code, integrating platforms, and bringing that solution into production.
You understand how to connect the entire technology ecosystem:
Business Processes → Data → AI → Applications → Cloud → Observability → Automation → Business Outcomes
You're curious, adaptable, technically broad, and passionate about turning emerging technologies into real-world enterprise solutions.
Why This Opportunity?
This position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of enterprise AI innovation, combining advanced software engineering, cloud architecture, and intelligent automation. You'll have the chance to solve challenging business problems, work directly with enterprise customers, influence technical direction, and build solutions that deliver meaningful operational impact. If you're a hands-on engineer who enjoys working across AI, cloud, software development, and enterprise automation—and wants to see your solutions make a real difference—we'd love to connect.
