A growing nonprofit is looking for a Foundation & Legacy Giving Manager to join its Major Gifts team. This role sits at the intersection of donor relations and research, managing outreach to foundations and individuals interested in legacy giving while keeping all materials and tracking systems sharp and current. It's a strong fit for someone who likes building relationships as much as digging into research.

Key Responsibilities

Foundation & Legacy Outreach

• Manage regular mailings for foundation outreach and legacy giving programs
• Conduct outreach to foundations and prospective donors
• Follow up with individuals interested in learning more about legacy giving, wills, and estate planning

Materials & Tracking

• Coordinate and maintain foundation and legacy giving materials, including letters, brochures, presentations, and follow-up resources
• Ensure all program materials are accurate, organized, and up to date
• Track outreach efforts, donor interactions, research findings, and follow-up activities

Relationship-Building & Research

• Build relationships with foundations and individuals interested in supporting the organization through grants or legacy gifts
• Research foundations, donors, and prospects to identify new opportunities
• Support the Major Gifts team with administrative and relationship-management initiatives

Qualifications

• Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent writing, organizational, and follow-up abilities
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Comfortable engaging with donors, foundations, and community stakeholders
• Experience in fundraising, donor relations, nonprofit administration, foundation outreach, or planned giving preferred
