Summary The Fundraising Project Coordinator supports the Coconino Community College Foundations efforts to secure philanthropic support for scholarships, student success initiatives, and institutional priorities. Particularly, this position plays an important role in the Foundations three-year comprehensive capital campaign to raise $10 million.

The Project Coordinator actively assists with campaign planning, donor cultivation, engagement, solicitation, and stewardship efforts designed to build meaningful, long-term relationships with individuals, corporations, and community partners. This role is currently funded as a project-based position tied to the duration of the campaign. Based on campaign outcomes and institutional needs, the position may become permanent following the completion of the campaign.

Position Summary The Fundraising Project Coordinator supports the Coconino Community College Foundations efforts to secure philanthropic support for scholarships, student success initiatives, and institutional priorities. Particularly, this position plays an important role in the Foundations three-year comprehensive capital campaign to raise $10 million.

The Project Coordinator actively assists with campaign planning, donor cultivation, engagement, solicitation, and stewardship efforts designed to build meaningful, long-term relationships with individuals, corporations, and community partners.

This role is currently funded as a project-based position tied to the duration of the campaign. Based on campaign outcomes and institutional needs, the position may become permanent following the completion of the campaign.

Salary & Benefits

  • Anticipated Hiring Range: $53,989 - $66,946/annual - depending on education and experience
  • Cafeteria Plan: In addition to the base compensation, benefits-eligible employees receive an extra $6,720 per year to put toward benefit costs or to be used as additional take-home pay.
  • Paid Holidays: 21 (including a full week off between Christmas and New Years Day and over Spring Break).
  • Vacation & Sick Leave: Approximately 17 paid vacation days & 9 paid sick leave days accrued annually.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Capital Campaign Support

  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and tracking of the Foundations $10 million comprehensive capital campaign.
  • Coordinate campaign timelines, prospect lists, reporting dashboards, and internal communications.
  • Support donor research, prospect identification, and portfolio management to expand the campaign pipeline.
  • May assist with developing campaign materials including case statements, pledge forms, presentations, proposals, and donor correspondence.
  • Coordinate fundraising initiatives, meetings, and special events.
  • Monitor campaign progress toward goals and prepare regular status reports for leadership and the Foundation Board.

Donor Cultivation and Stewardship

  • Assist with donor cultivation strategies including scheduling meetings, preparing briefing materials, and coordinating follow-up communications.
  • Support solicitation efforts, including drafting personalized proposals and pledge agreements.
  • Develop and implement donor stewardship plans to ensure timely acknowledgments, recognition, and impact reporting.
  • Coordinate donor recognition programs, naming opportunities, and appreciation events.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, alumni, and community stakeholders.

Fundraising Operations and Revenue Growth

  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Advancement & Strategic Initiatives to develop and execute annual fundraising plans aligned with campaign priorities.
  • Assist in securing major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and foundation grants.
  • Track and document donor pledges, payments, and commitments in coordination with Foundation accounting staff.
  • Ensure accurate and timely donor acknowledgment letters and tax documentation.
  • Contribute to meeting annual fundraising targets as established by leadership.

Communications and Marketing Support

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to develop campaign messaging and donor-focused materials.
  • Draft impact stories, donor spotlights, newsletters, and fundraising appeals.
  • Support digital fundraising efforts including online giving campaigns and email solicitations.
  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging aligned with Foundation priorities.

Data Management and Reporting

  • Maintain and update donor database records to ensure accuracy and integrity of donor information.
  • Generate donor reports, campaign analytics, and performance metrics.
  • Analyze fundraising trends and recommend strategies for increased engagement and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with donor intent and gift restrictions.

Board and Volunteer Engagement

  • Support the Foundation Board and campaign committees with materials, reports, and meeting preparation.
  • Assist in coordinating volunteer campaign ambassadors and fundraising champions.
  • Attend Foundation events and donor meetings as needed.

Other Duties

  • Represent the Foundation at community events as assigned.
  • Provide cross-support for Foundation initiatives as needed.
  • Collaborate with Foundation and college staff and leadership to support fundraising priorities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support fundraising objectives.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of fundraising principles, donor cultivation strategies, and capital campaign best practices.
  • Understanding of nonprofit operations and philanthropic trends.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong written communication skills, including proposal and donor correspondence writing.
  • Ability to analyze fundraising data and prepare meaningful reports.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality when working with donor information.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Strategic thinking with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in donor management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and community members.
  • Flexibility to work evenings or attend offsite events as required.
  • Commitment to the mission of community college education.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, or related field and three years of directly related fundraising or donor development experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job and/or as approved by the Human Resources Department.
