The Opportunity
Expert Intelligence is hiring its first dedicated outbound hire, the person who builds our pipeline from zero and grows into a leader on our go-to-market team.
You'll identify high value accounts, reach senior scientific and business leaders, and create qualified opportunities. This is hands-on prospecting: cold calls, written outreach, qualifying real business problems, and building relationships with people who have never heard of us.
BDR or SDR experience is the strongest predictor of success here, and pairing it with pharma or biotech domain knowledge is ideal. What matters more is whether you can communicate, handle rejection, learn fast, and create opportunities consistently. The role starts in business development and is built to grow into enterprise sales, account ownership, or GTM leadership.
About Expert Intelligence
We build AI for analytical labs inside pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and CRO organizations. Our software learns from a lab's own experts, runs under its own SOPs, and turns instrument runs into signed, validated reports in minutes.
The technology behind it is EI-LSM, a model architecture built specifically for the lab. It reaches 99.9% accuracy with zero hallucinations, learning from limited expert labeled data so customers don't need years of training data before they see results. That capability is why technical buyers take the meeting.
We work where general AI can't go, under 21 CFR Part 11, GxP and SOC 2 Type II. We're, 25 people, Seed backed by Sierra Ventures, selling to scientific, quality, IT and executive stakeholders inside large regulated enterprises.
What You Will Own
Create new pipeline
Research and target pharma, biotech, diagnostics, CRO instrument and regulated lab accounts
Find the scientists, lab leaders, quality leaders, IT stakeholders and executive sponsors who matter
Run 30+ cold calls and 15+ personalized emails daily, plus LinkedIn outreach
Book 5+ qualified meetings per week
Follow up until there is a clear next step or a clear reason to disqualify
Build multiple relationships inside each strategic account
The playbook and outbound infrastructure already exist and you'll execute against them from day one. By the end of year one we expect you to be adding to that playbook and building prospecting methods we haven't thought of yet.
Open enterprise conversations
Articulate our value proposition in your own voice to book meetings with scientists and executives
Build a working understanding of drug discovery and development. You don't need to be the expert on day one
Identify internal champions and help them build support for change
Use Challenger messaging and MEDDPICC to teach and qualify. We'll train you on both
Build the outbound engine
Develop target account strategies with GTM leadership
Build repeatable campaigns by industry, workflow, use case and persona, and track which problems drive engagement
Use AI tools for research, personalization, call prep and campaign analysis
Keep CRM records accurate and run structured follow-up around conferences and customer visits
Who We're Looking For
Requirements
Exceptional verbal and written communication
Willingness to cold call daily and stay effective after rejection
Fast learner on technical and scientific concepts
Strong research, preparation and organizational discipline
Comfort with measurable targets and direct feedback
Ambition to grow into enterprise sales or GTM leadership
Preferred
1 to 5 years as a BDR, SDR, or in inside sales, pharma or biotech sales, scientific instruments, lab software, technical recruiting, or another demanding sales environment
Life sciences, diagnostics, CRO, laboratory or scientific technology domain knowledge
Experience selling to scientists, labs or regulated enterprises
CRM, sequencing or sales intelligence tooling
Evidence of building something from zero, whether a company, a program, a team or a research effort
A degree helps. Demonstrated sales ability, initiative and achievement can matter more.
This isn't the right role if you want inbound leads only, avoid cold calling, need a remote position, or are uncomfortable with measurable goals.
Where This Takes You
This role is built to make you a closer faster than a larger company would.
You'll work directly with our CEO, founders and GTM leadership, learning enterprise selling from people who have already done it. Every week you'll be in conversations with senior scientific and executive leaders at the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, and you'll see applied AI working in one of the hardest places to deploy it.

How to Apply
Send your resume and short answers to three questions in your cover letter.
Tell us about a time you created an opportunity without an existing relationship or introduction.
Describe the most persistent sales, recruiting, fundraising or outreach effort you have completed.
Why do you want to build a career in enterprise sales and GTM leadership?
We care less about a perfect resume than evidence that you're hungry, resourceful, persuasive, resilient and quick to learn.
Our process has three stages: a remote interview with GTM leadership, a panel interview, and an onsite interview with our C-suite and founders.
You build the agenda for the first interview. Cover whatever you think we should cover to work out whether this is a fit. Show us why you're the right candidate and we'll show you why this role can accelerate your career.
