 We're assisting a well-funded startup in the health-tech space with their search for a founding mobile engineer.  They've created a platform that allows patients to shop for healthcare just as they'd shop for anything else online.  The role will be a hyrbid position, working 3 days in the Cambridge or SF office and 2 days remotely.  
 
What you'll do:

  • Help to stand up the mobile app from scratch

  • Make key architectural decisions

  • Set the patterns that the rest of the team builds on top of

What you'll bring:

  • 3+ years of experience building mobile apps, with meaningful production experience in React Native

  • Strong understanding of native iOS and/or Android development (Swift, Kotlin) — you don't need to be an expert in both, but you should be comfortable with either

  • Experience with Expo, including build tooling, OTA updates, and native module configuration

  • Proficiency with TypeScript and React

  • Experience architecting shared code between mobile and web codebases (or a strong opinion on how to do it well)

  • Familiarity with modern backend frameworks is a plus — they use Ruby on Rails and Postgres
