We’re on a mission to stop the most dominant cyberattacks on the planet.
Petra stops the #1 cyberattack hitting businesses today. We've hit product-market fit and we're scaling fast, which means hiring well is one of the most important things we do. This is an early, high-ownership role on a small team where your work will directly shape who joins Petra and what it feels like to work here.
We’ve grown revenue very quickly with a small team, reaching mid-7-figures in ARR in a year. We now protect over 2.5 million users across 10,000+ businesses. We price premium, yet have extremely low customer churn. Our customers consistently tell us that Petra is the best product they've ever used. You can see a demo here.
Our founders are YC W24, ex-Abnormal Security, Palo Alto Networks, and Bridgewater.
This is a rare chance to join early and help scale to $30M+ in revenue in the next 12 months.
We're looking for a People & Talent generalist to help build the programs, processes, and infrastructure of our People function from the ground up. Recruiting and talent will be the heart of the job to start, but you'll also flex across benefits and culture with the opportunity to specialize and take on more as the team grows. We need an ambitious self-starter who's excited to build a People function that's strategic, empathetic and data-informed.
Own full-cycle recruiting: sourcing in collaboration with external recruiters, coordinating and scheduling interviews, managing our ATS (Ashby), keeping candidates moving, supporting hiring managers, and delivering a great experience to everyone we interview
Create playbooks that make it easy to grow our team by codifying our best practices for sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding
Run onboarding end to end from offer acceptance through a new hire's first weeks
Manage benefits administration, including open enrollment, renewals, employee reimbursements and being the go-to for employee questions
Build the culture rituals, traditions, and team events that make Petra Petra
Partner with managers and employees on day-to-day HR needs, keeping policies and documentation current and compliant across multiple states
Keep the office running and a place people want to be
Grow with the function: as Petra scales, you'll take on the things a mature People organization owns from performance and career frameworks to manager enablement and people analytics
2-4 years of experience in people ops, HR or talent
Strong communication and interpersonal skills: you build trust quickly across a team
Self-starter with a bias toward action: you're comfortable wearing a lot of hats and building 0-1
Good intuition for building process: you know when a playbook is needed and get excited about creating order out of chaos
Meticulous attention to detail: you can handle a lot without letting little things slip through the cracks; you double-check your work, especially when the potential consequences merit it
No task too small mentality: you're happy to roll up your sleeves on the operational and office side to make Petra a better place to work
Genuine interest in recruiting and talent
Base salary range: $110K-$145K

Healthcare, dental, vision
Lunch in the office
