Sieve is an AI research company focused on video data and multimodal systems. The company builds large-scale datasets and infrastructure to advance video understanding, supporting applications across AI, robotics, gaming, and AR/VR. The team operates at the frontier of video modeling and works with leading AI labs and enterprise customers.

About the Role

This is Sieve's first recruiting hire — responsible for building and scaling the company's recruiting function from the ground up. You will work directly with founders to hire across engineering and product operations while establishing processes, systems, and talent pipelines independently. This is a true ownership role with direct founder access and the opportunity to build a world-class technical team at a cutting-edge AI company.

What You'll Own

  • Build and own the recruiting function end to end
  • Source, screen, and close candidates across engineering and product roles
  • Develop and implement recruiting strategies and processes
  • Host recruiting events and build talent pipelines
  • Partner with founders and leadership on hiring strategy
  • Ensure high-quality candidate experience and hiring standards

Requirements

  • 3+ years of technical recruiting experience
  • Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or research talent markets
  • Proven ability to recruit for technical roles
  • Experience working in fast-paced or startup environments
  • Strong ownership and execution capability
  • Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco (onsite required)

Nice to Have

  • Experience as a founding recruiter
  • Experience hosting recruiting events
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude or Cursor
