Operations Team Lead

Industrial Manufacturing | People Leadership | 24/7 Operations

A confidential industrial organization is seeking an experienced Operations Team Lead to supervise and coordinate frontline hourly teams in a high‑output, safety‑critical manufacturing environment.

This role is best suited for a hands‑on industrial leader who thrives in fast‑paced operations, can lead union or hourly workforces, and is comfortable making real‑time decisions to keep production running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and support hourly production teams during assigned shifts
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and plant policies
  • Coordinate daily production activities, staffing, and workflow to meet output and quality targets
  • Address operational issues in real time, including equipment, staffing, and production disruptions
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and accountability to develop team performance
  • Partner cross‑functionally with maintenance, operations, and leadership teams
  • Prepare the operation for shift transitions and ensure seamless hand‑offs
  • Complete production reports and communicate issues, incidents, or risks to leadership

What We're Looking For

  • Proven people leadership and supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Background in industrial or heavy manufacturing operations required
  • Leadership experience guidelines: 5–7 years of team leadership or supervisory experience, or
  • 2–4 years of leadership experience paired with direct hands‑on industry experience
  • Comfortable supervising hourly teams in continuous or 24/7 operations
  • Strong safety mindset and ability to lead in high‑accountability environments
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot operational bottlenecks
  • Experience working in or alongside union environments is strongly preferred

Work Schedule: On site

Compensation: $85-95k
