Foundry Operator

Job Title: Foundry Operator
Location: Glens Falls, NY
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Over Time may be required)
Pay: $24.50 - $25/hour


Summary:

Our Client in Glens Falls, NY is looking for Foundry Operators who will support the metal casting process by operating induction furnaces and casting equipment, monitoring production quality, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, mechanical equipment, and working as part of a team in an industrial manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

The Foundry Operator duties include, but not limited to:

• Operate induction furnaces, casting equipment, and other foundry machinery.
• Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards and production goals are met.
• Inspect cast products for quality and identify any defects or irregularities.
• Clean, inspect, and perform routine maintenance on production equipment.
• Safely transport raw materials and finished products using overhead cranes and forklifts (training provided as needed).
• Accurately complete production records and maintain required documentation.
• Follow established safety procedures while working around molten metal and high-temperature equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to support daily production objectives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attendance
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work around high-temperature equipment
• Ability to obtain respirator clearance
