Fountain Drink Technician

Overview:

As an S&G Fountain Drink Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the cleanliness, functionality, and quality of commercial S&G soda fountain equipment. This position is responsible for ensuring fountain drink machines, ice makers, beverage dispensers, CO systems, and related equipment are operating properly and providing customers with a clean, reliable, and high-quality beverage experience.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable traveling between multiple S&G locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, clean, inspect, and repair fountain beverage equipment
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on fountain drink machines and related equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify the cause of malfunctions
• Service and maintain beverage dispensing systems, valves, pumps, lines, and fittings
• Inspect and maintain CO systems and connections
• Clean and sanitize beverage lines and dispensing equipment according to company standards
• Maintain and service ice machines and related beverage equipment
• Replace worn or damaged parts as needed
• Check equipment for proper operation, temperature, pressure, and product flow
• Respond to maintenance requests and equipment service calls
• Travel between S&G locations to complete scheduled and emergency repairs
• Communicate equipment problems that require specialized service or replacement
• Maintain an inventory of commonly used parts, tools, and supplies
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
• Maintain company tools and vehicle in good working condition
• Follow all company safety, sanitation, and food-service procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with beverage, refrigeration, food-service, mechanical, or facilities equipment preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, pumps, valves, and mechanical equipment
• Ability to safely use common hand and power tools
• Ability to read basic equipment manuals and service instructions
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver''s license
• Good communication and customer-service skills
• Willingness to travel between S&G locations
• Experience with fountain beverage systems is a plus, but training can be provided to the right candidate

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and work in confined areas
• Ability to occasionally climb ladders or work on elevated equipment
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments
• Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, or respond to urgent equipment issues
