POSITION: Fourth Grade Teacher, WCPC

CONTRACT: 200 Days, 2026-2027 School Year

QUALIFICATIONS:

• WV Professional Teaching Certificate; Meets requirements for certification in K-6 or K-8; Elementary Education
• Proficient in written and verbal communications
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with staff and community
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with school administrators, school personnel, and parents
• Demonstrates organization and management skills
• Demonstrates ability to work within the school Mission and Core Beliefs

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and implement appropriate instruction for Fourth Grade students based on the WV College and Career Ready Standards
• Maintain accurate records on student progress
• Analyze data and develop individualized instruction for personalized learning
• Work collaboratively in grade level and cross-curricular teams
• Implement programs and use instructional technology and resources such as SmartBoards, Ipads, virtual class tools and process, instructional resources, etc.
• Demonstrate adequate planning and management techniques
• Maintain information and resources for effective instructional practices
• Participate in professional growth activities
• Perform other duties as assigned and as necessary for effective program coordination and implementation

SUPERVISOR: Primary Center Principal or Assistant Principal

SALARY: Wirt County Salary Scale for teachers based on degree and years of experience
